I have been given a great Christmas gift. It cost nothing and came out of nowhere; we are having such fun with it that I had to share it with you. (Just in case you have our strange sense of humour and would enjoy it too.) In Victoria, (Australia) we have various types of number plates on our cars and we often have fun working out what the personalized ones mean. The six digits can mean all sorts of things especially if numerals have been used in place of a letter.
Some months back we were out of numbers for our regular plates – 3 Alpha’s and three numerals (I guess they got to ZZZ 999 and could go no further) New standard plates were introduced and up until a couple of weeks back you would see one or two around. However, all of a sudden they are everywhere. They have brightened up our trips in the busy Christmas traffic. We still have two groups of three but they are one numeral and two alphas i.e.: 1FL-2CK. .
Forget your ‘I Spy’ or ‘Spotto’ now we play a one-upmanship game of interpret the number plates. The idea is to see who can think up the smartest interpretation. For instance I could say 1FL-2CK stands for One Fussy Lady and Two Cranky Kids and Doug might counter with One Ferocious Lion and Two Cuddly Koala’s. We haven’t laughed so much while out on the road for ever. You have to be quick because another car will appear with the new number plate and we have to move on. When the three of us are in the car together it can be hilarious.
Where am I going with this? I don’t know! But it does remind me that some of the best gifts don’t cost money and of course I can’t finish without reminding us all in case you have forgotten. The best gift of all this Christmas is totally free. Jesus! Born in a manger. Thank You God!
Doug and I saw this one the other day. Maybe: One Awesome Male and Seven Fabulous Females? One Angry Mug and Seven Friendly Faces? One Alpha Male and Seven Feisty Females? One Army Major and Seven Freedom Fighters? One Alaskan Malamute and Seven Flying Foxes?. Enough! Where is that next car ????
