100 Days

Yesterday I mentioned I was a bit of a statistics/numbers person, so here I go again. Last Thursday I really couldn’t find the time to blog and tell you that it is now 100 days till we leave for London.  Now, of course its Tuesday and its 95 days. Those who have read ‘ice creams’ will know that I am English and that Doug, Yvette and I returned to the UK for a holiday in 1998.  This time there will be eight of us, our daughters Fiona and Yvette, Shane our son in law and our three granddaughters Brianna, Shannen and Caitlin.  We will be staying at  ‘The Mansions’ a lovely apartment building in South Kensington and living like Londoners. All Doug and I have to provide is our  spending money. Do you think I’m overplaying this? You betcha!  I’m the mum who in the past felt the need to remind God of His promise in Psalm 37 verse 25 which tells us that the God fearing won’t go hungry nor their children beg for bread. Although it never got as bad as that, there were times when our cupboards were all but empty.

So, thank you God, I promise I’ll not waste a minute. Ninety four days tomorrow!

Im looking forward to you coming almost as much as you are Veronica. I cant wait to meet you in person. You will have to come over for a meal, maybe a BBQ if the weather is nice (unlikely for the UK i know)

    • We have googled how to get to Basildon by train. Forget about the Barbeque there could be up to eight of us, I promise you don’t want to feed eight hearty eating Aussies. Do you have a good Pub that does a decent lunch or is there a place half way where we could meet? (like somewhere between Sth Kensington and Basildon)
We are staying at The Mansions, Earls Court Rd. Sth Kensington. Needless to say we would pay. (Maybe Jane and/or family might be interested)
