Mothers Day

Last Sunday was Mothers Day and as is usual in Australia there were  Chrysanthemums in the shops. The pink ones immediately reminded me of my Mum and the picture below. On Mothers day May 2006 David my brother gave mum this Chrysanthemum plant.  When it was spent she gave it back to him to put in his garden. (She passed away in August that year.) The next May it was flowering again, large prolific flowers, and it kept doing this for months.  David took this picture in the September. The bush was over a metre tall and this plant shows just two of the many large flowers with many buds still opening. If you have read ‘a farthing cone’  you will know that my Mother was full of energy and life so this picture is a great reminder of her.
